19 & 20 Catching Fire and Mockingjay

This is my 2nd time through these. I love the first 2 books, but don't love the last book. Was the author taken by aliens and replaced when she wrote Mockingjay??

In my dream, Katniss and a nice version of Gale would have ended up together.
